Actually getting some scrapping done!!!

Tonight has been so much fun!  I have been participating in an online scrap over at disboards.com (for those of us who love everything Disney) in the creative community.  I have been playing for most of the night and actually got a few pages done.

This first page is one that I actually completed last night.  I had finally received my new Best of Pixar cricut cartridge and had to play with it.  Sorry about the lighting, I am trying to figure that part out.  I love this layout but wish that I would have made the title bigger.  I know we are our worst critique but this one I may have to go and fix.

These next two are pages that I have been working on during the crop and I am still not sure how I like them either. During this crop I tried to stick with my original layout and not change my mind fifty times.  I like to take my time when I scrap and rushing like that was definitely not my norm.

Well, after a year I have finally decided to actually get this blog going. Starting a blog is going to be a challenge for me but it's a new year and I am trying to get my scrapping caught up, aren't we all? I guess I am like any typical mom, I am busy. Between kids, work, the house, keeping my man happy, the dogs, and the pigs (yes, my 8 yr old daughter is raising pigs for 4H) I just have little time to sit down and do what I want to do. So, this year I am taking my scrapbooking back!! I will not worry about whether or not the dishwasher has been unloaded or if there are shoes everywhere by the front door. Will my house be a little bit untidy? YES. Do I care? YES. Is it going to drive me crazy? Probably, but at least I will have ME TIME and right now that is all that matters. So, here I go.

Since Dec. 2006 my family has been going to Disney World pretty regularly. We started with a trip for our two oldest kiddos, then 6 &4 and our littlest was 11 months and stayed with her God Mother while we went to sunny Florida. The trip was perfect! So, the following December my parents went to Disney and my youngest, then almost 2, and I went with them. It was all down hill from there. Since that first trip in 2006 we have been to Disney 5 times and have another trip planned this May 2011. Many people think we are crazy but we don't care. It is the only place where my entire family has a fantastic time and I (the mom) don't have to do anything but bathe my kids and at some point put them in bed. Disney is Bliss for me!! Because of all of our trips to Disney I have a lot of scrapbooking to do. I have just about completed the first trip digitally and Ashtyn, my youngests first trip is complete as well. So I still have May 08, Sept 09 and Sept 10 to finsh. I had better get busy!!!

Finally getting going on out last family Disney trip!!! Which was back in May of 08!!! I guess part of my problem was that I just couldn't get motivated. It does help now that I have almost all the disney cricut carts so I have lots of options to work with.

Thanks to MariaReyes1 on the cricut MB I was able to create these cute Cinderella birthday invitations for my daughters 4th birthday party. Originally we were suppose to have her party on the 30th but, when something came up we had to change the part to the 23rd!! After posting for some quick help on the MB MariaReyes1 posted a pick of a similar card she had done. Well, after work I headed to Michael's, bought the paper and then headed home to get start. After two hours I had 20 invites complete and could not be happier. I just love the way these turned out and how simple and elegant they look! Best of all my daughter thought they were the "coolest"!!!

Gift Card Box

I was looking all over the cricut message boards for a gift card box that would open like a pizza box. Well, when I couldn't find one I decided to create my own on my gypsy and I just love the way it turned out!!! The box was made using Gypsy Wanderings and Plantin SchoolBook. The measurements are 3x4x.75.
